Nifty Metal index ended down 1.63% at 6844.05 today. The index is up 4.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Jindal Stainless Ltd slipped 4.00%, JSW Steel Ltd fell 2.73% and Vedanta Ltd shed 1.99%. The Nifty Metal index is up 10.00% over last one year compared to the 11.70% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Financial Services index is down 1.49% and Nifty Bank index has slid 1.29% on the day.
