Nifty Media index ended up 2.24% at 1729.95 today. The index has gained 3.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd rose 6.68%, New Delhi Television Ltd gained 4.99% and PVR Inox Ltd jumped 3.17%. The Nifty Media index has fallen 9.00% over last one year compared to the 14.40% increase in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty IT index gained 1.48% and Nifty FMCG index added 1.47% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 added 0.97% to close at 18499.35 while the SENSEX increased 1.02% to close at 62501.69 today.
